In this post we showcased black and white photography from the portfolio of Xavier Rey focused on Landscape and Waterscapes. Xavier has really stunning photography skills and his photographic approach is something instinctive. For example an impulse that prompts him to press the trigger at a specific time to pick a place, atmosphere, and people.
Xavier was born in Albi (Tarn) in 1974 and he made his first steps in photography in 2005 when he arrived in Bordeaux. His meeting with a group of Bordeaux photographers SPBordeaux was a revelation. And then photography became an extraordinary means of expression for him.
His love for the sea and waterscape photography in black and white, guide his work to a photographic style format where the square and the long exposure became too obvious. He loves working in this format fitting length to give landscapes photographed another reality, another view.
Though black and white photography is his primary mode of expression and allows him to fully express his vision. Sometimes he also does color photos, but it remains quite rarely. Besides this, he also works on other personal projects such as portrait photography or report. Don’t forget to visit his website here to see more of these beautiful pictures.
