Dubai is known for its outrageous design plans and been waiting long an underwater hotel. Finally it seems the dream is coming true. Drydocks World has signed an exclusive arrangement with BIG InvestConsult of Switzerland to build a “Water Discus hotel” in Dubai.
According to Deep Ocean Technology, the company behind the design, the hotel will consist of two sets of discs – one above water and one below, exploring the depths of the ocean while taking advantage of the warm climate. Amenities of this luxurious hotel complex include a helicopter pad, a rooftop garden, an above-ground swimming pool, restaurants, a spa, and a recreational center.

As economy rebounding, Dubai is planning some other big projects. This include Emaar’s opera house and a modern art museum in the shadow of Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest tower, one of the city’s main attractions.
